Lifestyle Duxbury Beach Family Portrait Session | Powder Point Bridge Massachusetts Documentary Photography

When we drop the fancy matching outfits and fake smiles, when we let our kids be messy and revel in the chaos, we can fill up on memories of golden light and sandy hair, windswept skirts and sea salt coated toes. THIS is what lifestyle family photography is about. Creating moments, not poses.

I am now exclusively offering portrait sessions in a lifestyle, documentary style. Whether we’re by the ocean or in your own home or backyard, we’ll capture the unposed, authentic & real moments between your family in the exact season of life you are in. The resulting images may not always look pretty, but they will absolutely be beautiful, worthy of your photo albums and something you will treasure forever.

For the Harris family, we let Audrey take the lead. Watching her explore the sea and sand for the first time in her life gave me a new perspective on textures and make me appreciate the rush of the waves in a new way. When you live on the coast, it becomes easy to take things like the rush of sea foam coming in on the waves for granted. Our evening at the beach ended with Audrey joyfully and repeatedly filling her own hair with sand, flinging sand into the air in a rush of energy. Things we would never “allow” at a traditional photo session became the exact moments I loved photographing the most that night. It was messy, it was real, and it was fun - for EVERYONE involved. I was so grateful to share in these fresh memories and golden light with this sweet family!
